Application Engineer Job Opening

At Müller-BBM our engineering staff consists of employees with interests and experience in the vibration, sound and NVH fields. Our staff works hard to provide the best experience for our customers in the use of PAK software and MKII hardware for sound and vibration testing.


Job Description

An application engineer would be asked to provide support to our customers and sales staff in the following ways:

  • On-site customer assistance for the installation, use, or troubleshooting of PAK software and MKII hardware

  • Written and verbal interaction with customers regarding support and product capabilities

  • Custom solutions for various customer VibroAcoustic tests

  • Training of customers and staff in both the use of the PAK-MKII system and VibroAcoustic testing

  • Pre-installation verification of test systems

  • Many other unique VibroAcoustic testing challenges

Required Skills

The support detailed above requires the following skills:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering with at least 2 years of vibration or acoustic experience

  • Training is provided to develop the employee into an expert of the Pak software and MKII hardware

  • Calibration of MKII hardware

  • Excellent written and oral skills for our constant interaction with customers

  • Staying up-to-date on the current trends in VibroAcoustic testing

  • Traveling to customers and trade-shows

  • Working independently under general supervision

  • Availability to work outside of core work hours, including weeknights and weekends

  • United States Citizen for work with Department of Defense contract work

  • Status:  Full time, exempt employee

  • Reports to: President of US Operations
